Caesar Morgan November 21, 2006:

I came home from work yesterday and the Eastern Veterinary Blood Bank left a message for our beloved Caesar that they are in desperate need of doggie blood donors. I called and spoke with Nancy Lee at EVBB and told her that Caesar has passed. Of course she was very sorry to hear because he was a great blood donor and could give a pretty large donation per visit. I told her that I hope to get another Dane in the future and hope to return to EVBB.

I told her that many of the Great Dane rescue folks have their dogs donate on a regular basis and I offered to put out an e-mail. If you have some time and would like to do a great thing for fellow K-9's please contact EVBB and set up an appointment to have your dog donate. It does not take too long and they treat the dogs with great care. There are many hidden benefits to having your dog donate to EVBB. For one, the blood is screen for disease and illness and reported to your vet if there is a problem and in the event your dog would need blood for any reason they provide it free of cost after you have donated on a regular basis. Not to mention you are doing a good deed. The number to EVBB is 1800-949-3822 ask for Nancy Lee or acll her if you have any questions. EVBB donation sites are spread out across MD, PA, DE, and VA. They ship blood products just about everywhere in the US and are concerned because their blood supply is very low.

I know we are all busy this time of year, thanks for reading this. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you.
